If the speed of 2 or more Axies are the same, the Axie with the lower health will take the turn first. This means that the Axie with the highest speed stats will be the first one to take the turn.

This turn order will depend on the speed stats of all of the Axies present. Trying to take down bases is fun, but it means nothing if you let the opponent hold more points for longer than you.You can see the turn order for each round at the top of your screen during combat. Ranked matches are always Victory Point Controls, which means you have to hold these points to win. Just look for the green shield icon and send your units confidently into the fray. Lucky for you, most objects can afford you a degree of protection if you take cover. In the heat of battle, even space marines need to take cover. But don't clump them together for your opponent to drop an orbital strike! Using one unit type exclusively will almost always leave you dangerously weak in another area. The different units in Dawn of War II are designed to work together for maximum effectiveness. Not only will this save precious resources, your surviving units will level up and become even more powerful.

While your units must live and die by your command, you may want to consider retreating to your base instead. Upgraded units win fights other units would not. From flamethrowers to melta-grenades to power-fists-you can upgrade those units and raise hell. You may have noticed that you don't have that many units at your disposal, but what you do have are numerous options for upgrading your units. Trying to slowly build up your forces without fully engaging your enemy (known as 'turtling') is a fast path to defeat. You'll need resources to fight your opponents and you'll have to fight for those resources by getting out on the battlefield and capturing points. Dawn of War II is a game that rewards aggressive behavior.
